Ocean Grow provides six core services: ship safety management (SMS / ISM), flag state registration, classification survey, crew management, drydocking and marine insurance. Together they support ship-owners and managers across the full management cycle, from systems and documentation through certification to crew and insurance.
SMS / ISM support is appropriate when you are preparing for a DOC / SMC annual audit, when a classification society or flag state has raised deficiencies with a rectification deadline, when existing SMS documentation no longer matches actual practice, or when internal audit and emergency response arrangements are not yet in place. Ocean Grow can help you build and maintain the system and pass the audit.
Ocean Grow supports registration, transfer of registry and certificate coordination in nine major flag states: Panama, Hong Kong, Sierra Leone, Belize, Niue, Vanuatu, Mongolia, Dominica and the Republic of China (ROC), and advises on the registry best suited to your operation.
The DOC (Document of Compliance) is issued to a management company that has passed an ISM audit; the SMC (Safety Management Certificate) is issued to the vessel; the ISSC (International Ship Security Certificate) corresponds to ISPS security requirements; and the MLC (Maritime Labour Convention certificate) covers seafarers' working conditions. Ocean Grow assists with the application, maintenance and audit preparation for all of these certificates.
Ocean Grow can compile the technical document list, review the validity of class certificates, arrange surveyor scheduling and prepare the material required for annual, intermediate and special surveys. We also attend the survey on site and follow up the rectification of any Condition of Class, reducing time lost in port.
